Summer Time at The Cape

Since this past March, my parents have been planning their trip to Cape Cod and this past week we finally made it. Auntie Michelle and her family go all the time and invited us this year to join them. It was my very first family vacation trip and from the looks of our car, we looked like the Griswold's.

Auntie Michelle's sister Crystal along with Crystal's husband Eric (their kids: Peyton, Kendall and Anderson) and Eric's Mom,Jean, met us up at our house rental last Saturday afternoon. The week was packed with lots of excitement: Cape Cod chip factory, miniature golf at Pirates Cove, water balloon fights, kite flying, the endless candy stores and local ice cream shops and of course the wonderful beach! We went regularly to the beach and I loved it! Most of all, I enjoyed making new friends. Anderson and I were instant buddies while Peyton and Kendall take care of me and give me lots of candy and freezer pops.. yum! On our last day, the Maine crew, fixed us a traditional Maine feast (Lobster rolls, scallops, mussels, and fresh summer squash and home grown potatoes from Auntie Michelle's parents garden in Maine). Daddy ate so much that he almost went into a coma.

Here a few highlights of our adventure. Summer will be over before you know so enjoy it while you can. Next up.... fall apple picking... can't wait!

Love,
Emerson

It was soooo hot and humid that Auntie Michelle busted out the water balloon fight
