I can't get no satisfaction........

So, Mom dressed me today in this cool Rolling Stones T-Shirt. All the girls at daycare thought I was cool too.

Today before leaving for Pasai's Mom tricked me into crawling (really it's more like doing the worm than an actual crawl...just ask my Dad) by putting the remote control for me to reach..... I definitely am all male!

Moving on up.......

Hello everyone, today Mom and Dad took me to see Dr. Sideridis at 7 am for my 6 month wellness check. We almost didn't get to see Dr. Sideridis since the front office messed up my appointment and didn't show me at all. The lady up front said that she would put us with another doctor but you know Dad.... consistency is key and besides he really likes Dr. Sideridis. Dad asked if they would reimburse them $10 since if the shoe was on the other foot they would have no problem charging us. In the end, it came down to Mom's bribery with the brownies that she had made for Dr. Sideridis's sweet tooth. The brownies encouraged the front lady feel sorry for us and squeezed us in (Mom's sales skills really helped us out here... either that or it was a good game of "good cop, bad cop" that helped). Dr. Sideridis was so nice when he came into our patient room and Mom and Dad were very thankful to him.

SO.... I'm moving on up.... in weight class and percentiles that is! My stats now show that I have a 17 1/4 inch head (48 percentile), 27 1/2 inches tall (75 percentile) and a weight of 18 lbs 12.8 ounces (70 percentile).

As always, I love hanging out with Dr. Sideridis.... he even let me play with his stethoscope so this time I decided not to pee on him :-). Of course the nurse came in with five shots and while I didn't feel the first one, I sure felt the last four!

I hope that none of you have to get any shots anytime soon and have a doctor as cool as mine!

Emerson

21 more years to go!

Back in the olden days.... ya know when it was just my parents that lived together, Friday's were considered "Martini Friday's" in the Rahm-Barr household. I'm not sure what exactly that means but I know that my Daddy and Mommy seem to have fond memories of these events. Well, Daddy arrived home tonight telling Mommy how he was so happy that the weekend was here and then he went to the kitchen to fix this special drink (a martini). I tagged along to see how I might be able to help and also my Dad promised to show me how to make the perfect martini. Mommy said that it will be another 21 years before I'll get to actual take a sip of one so for now, I'll just watch from the side lines.

Later tonight, Daddy and I hung out while he checked some work emails and finished up on his expense report. Mommy headed upstairs to finish painting their bathroom while Daddy gave me a bath, read me one of my favorite stories, and fed my belly.

Tomorrow is Saturday and we'll be outside cleaning up our deck, trimming our bushes and mowing our little patch of grass that we have (Daddy uses a weed eater for that :-). The weather forecast is calling for a high temperature of 73 degrees tomorrow so it should be a great day to be outside. I hope that the Mother Nature is good to you all this weekend as well!

Love and kisses to all!

Emerson

"Daddy, what are you new? That's not a hat, it's a martini glass." "Daddy thinks that he's a comedian"

" Let me show you how it's done Dad.... you got to shake it to the left then the right"

"All that help with making the drink and you're telling me that I can't even have one sip!"

"Dad, hey.... over here, I need to tell you something..."

"KICKIN IT"

Today my Daddy is coming home and I can't wait to give him a big kiss and hug! I won't get to see him until Saturday though since he won't be home until after my bedtime. That's OK though, it just means that I will be rested and ready for some guy time on Saturday. I wore my "kickin it" shirt in honor of our guys weekend.... we'll be "kickin it" old school style in the basement since the weather man is calling for rain tomorrow.

This morning started off OK with the exception of feeling a little under the weather. Mom checked my temperature and it was low grade and since I have been drooling a lot, she figured it was just me teething. Pasai called Mom around 11 am today to come and pick me up and Mom took me to the doctors. It turns out that I have some sort of virus. So Mom gave me some Tylenol and extra TLC. I went to bed a little earlier than usual but I needed it since I didn't get enough zzz's last night. I was glad too, I need to be rested for playtime with Dad tomorrow!

Well that's all folks! Have a great weekend :-)

Crawling, crawling, crawling......

The end of this week marks my first attempt at crawling. Mom and Dad are so excited that they even bought toys for me to chase (So what am I Bob the cat now ...lol:-). Bob has come around more and more often (even when I cry); my parents theory is that he's after my new toys. I don't mind sharing, kitties needs play time too ya know.

My favorite toy so far is what they call a "move and crawl" ball. My parents like it because supposedly, it stimulates my gross motor development, teaches me my numbers, shapes and animals, and has fun sounds. I like it because it's shiny, moves around a lot and has cool colors and lights. I also got a really cool drum that sounds out the alphabet, sings cool songs, lets me beat on it and all in either Spanish or English!

So, here I am below chasing after one of my new building blocks. I have to get it before Bob gets to it.... it's soft and squeaks like Bob's cat toys.

Emerson

"Hey, how YOU doing..."

"..... and 1, 2, 3, ..... come on everyone, push up time!"

"Still going..... and 20, 21, 22......... don't quit on me now people... we're almost done with our workout!"

"Almost got it..... must get building block before Bob gets here...."

Ring, ring goes the school bell!

Today was the first day of school for the children of Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia. As my Mom drove away from our subdivision, I starred out the window at the many school children, dressed in there brand new school clothes, waiting for that glorious yellow school bus. I can't wait for the day when I get to pick out a really cool backpack, lunch box and wait with the big kids for the bus.

Mom says that it was be a while and that I should enjoy being a baby while I can. I think she's right.... I mean this is the only time when I can get away with someone else feeding me, changing my diaper and carrying me around.....Well, maybe if I ever have to go into a nursing home but that's millions of years away from now!

OH NO, they caught me!

Saturday morning took awhile for Mom to make my breakfast so I decided to have an appetizer instead. Just so you know, yellow bears taste better than the red and blue bears. This bouncy seat was a gift from my Grams and I'm sure glad that she ordered the bears to go with it!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday........

Sunday was the first day that we've been to church in awhile. Dad and Mom have both been traveling the past couple of weekends .

Here's a photo that Mom caught right before we headed out for the Sunday service. I'm really glad that Mom chose the frog shirt for me to wear today..... it sure was a conversation piece in church today and even helped me meet a new friend.
