Here, Kitty Kitty....

Go Pokes, GO....

Uncle James was in town this past weekend and the OSU game was on.... what a great combination! Everyone wore OSU attire (even Mommy) except for Daddy. Apparently, every time Daddy where's his OSU garb, they loose :-(. Well perhaps Mommy is a jinx herself since OSU didn't make the cut but, we had fun watching them play.

I'm looking forward to more game watching with Daddy!

Notice that we have smiles..... oblivious of what the future outcome would soon be.

What do you mean they lost???

Cake Eating at It's Finest

You say it's your birthday.....

We're gonna have a good time.... and we did! March 18th is my official birthday but since it fell in the middle of the week, my parents decided to have my party this past Saturday. We had so much fun and while the adults out numbered the children, it was a blast. My posse, Emily and Savannah were in the house and helped out with the duck game and ball pit playing. Man, that Emily sure knows her duck game as she won every time... Go Emily. Savannah was really cool and has the best smile. Heck, Savannah out partied all of us too. Emily and I were down for the count shortly after our sugar rushes but not Savannah she, even stayed up with the adults (she's cool).

Auntie Sarita was worried that Mommy might not let me have cake or else make it some sort of no added sugar cake. In fact, I believe she was prepared to smuggle in cake with sugar if she had to :-) However, Mommy surprised us all and let me go wild. I got to eat cake with my hands, play in the duck game pool, and run around with all the wrapping paper that I could get my hands on. I wish I could have my birthday everyday! Here are a few highlights of the festivities.

It's good to be the King!

Ah Ha.... so this is what sugar is all about.... I have totally been missing out!

If I eat it from this angle, I think I just might be able to get the optimal frosting to cake ratio.

Yum, yum, yum...... I think I might be dreaming about cake tonight.

Kiss me, I'm IRISH!

Well maybe not all Irish :-) I'm told that I also have ancestors from Italy, England, Poland and Germany (hey isn't that what they refer to as a mutt?). Anyways, who cares.... HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY everyone and today I'm celebrating my Irish roots.

Side note: Mommy and Daddy bought me this shirt in Sept. 2007 when they were Ireland... I was still in Mommy's belly but then, you knew that I bet :-).

Have a great week!

Love,
Emerson

"You want some of this?"

"Here Mommy.... catch this"

SNIP SNIP

This past week, Mommy decided that she was tired of Daddy telling her that my hair looked like the beginings of a comb over. SOOO.. Mommy called up the best person for the job - Ms. Lorraine - Mommy's stylist for the past 5 years. Ms. Lorraine has her own salon in Old Town Alexandria called Lorraine Aprile Salon and now I understand why Mommy likes to go their.

Karen is Lorraine's sister and she's the first friendly face that you see upon arriving at the salon. Ms. Karen took care of making sure that I was able to get into see Ms. Lorraine. Ohhh and did I mention that Ms. Lorraine and Ms. Karen both have British accent which I think is really cool.... it's the first time I had ever heard one (especially given that most of my realatives that southern accents). Anyways, once I got my cool smock on, Ms. Lorraine started to snip away. I had to sit on Mommy's lap since I don't sit still just yet. I'm working on it though :-).

Ms. Angela, whom is another one of the Stylist in the salon, was really fun too. Ms. Angela could tell that I wasn't sure about this hair cutting business so she entertained me with silly faces and her warm smile. After Ms. Lorraine finished I got Mommy to take a photo of her and I to document the ocassion. Check us out below.

All in all, I think that my first haircut was a huge success and I can't wait until the next time. Lets just hope that my hair starts growing more and that I end up with thicker hair.... something tells me that it doesn't run in the family though :-).

Emerson

"Here I am with Ms. Lorraine.... isn't she so pretty"

" How do I look?" "Does my new haircut make me look younger?"

Ahhh.... Life is good!

This past Monday we got 7 inches of snow. Fast forward to yesterday and today and the weather has been in the 70's. Geez no wonder why so many people are sick in the months of February and March around here. At any rate, life is good in the Barr house. Daddy and I are over our colds and stomach flu, Mommy and Daddy are took me for a long walk in my ride yesterday evening and Bob is friskier than ever with the windows open (this means that I really have to work hard to catch him now). Ohhh and I almost forgot one important thing.... I'm not walking anymore... I'M RUNNING! Yes, as you can imagine I am really giving my parents a run for their money. I overheard Daddy telling Mommy today before church that “I thought this didn't happen until they were 2". Hee hee hee.... suckers :-).

Have a great week everyone!

Emerson

Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, YUM......

Is what Mr. Cookie Monster says whenever he talks to me. That was exactly what I thought as I was eating spaghetti for the very first time. Mommy thought it would be cute to get some video footage of me too. I just hope that this video doesn't come back to haunt me during my teen years!

Emerson
