21 more years to go!

Back in the olden days.... ya know when it was just my parents that lived together, Friday's were considered "Martini Friday's" in the Rahm-Barr household. I'm not sure what exactly that means but I know that my Daddy and Mommy seem to have fond memories of these events. Well, Daddy arrived home tonight telling Mommy how he was so happy that the weekend was here and then he went to the kitchen to fix this special drink (a martini). I tagged along to see how I might be able to help and also my Dad promised to show me how to make the perfect martini. Mommy said that it will be another 21 years before I'll get to actual take a sip of one so for now, I'll just watch from the side lines.

Later tonight, Daddy and I hung out while he checked some work emails and finished up on his expense report. Mommy headed upstairs to finish painting their bathroom while Daddy gave me a bath, read me one of my favorite stories, and fed my belly.

Tomorrow is Saturday and we'll be outside cleaning up our deck, trimming our bushes and mowing our little patch of grass that we have (Daddy uses a weed eater for that :-). The weather forecast is calling for a high temperature of 73 degrees tomorrow so it should be a great day to be outside. I hope that the Mother Nature is good to you all this weekend as well!

Love and kisses to all!

Love,
Emerson

"Daddy, what are you new? That's not a hat, it's a martini glass." "Daddy thinks that he's a comedian"

" Let me show you how it's done Dad.... you got to shake it to the left then the right"

"All that help with making the drink and you're telling me that I can't even have one sip!"

"Dad, hey.... over here, I need to tell you something..."

Hey, my precious little man,

There will be plenty of time for martinis later on. Right now you just keep on socking away those groceries! You are growing so-o-o very fast. Can't believe you are already six months old. (Time goes by really fast for us old people!)

Today was a great day for yard work. I pruned some trees and hisbiscus. Last weekend it was so very hot. But one thing I did see last week, was a frog swallowing a lizard...wish you could have seen it, Em!

Love you bunches, Grams

Hi Peanut,
I could have used about 20 of your dad's martini's this past week. Nana AND Pappy survived IKE but will never ever stay again. We were soo scared we bought a 35ft self contained motor home. Can hardly wait to take you camping and road trips. Pappy said you can even get the copilot chair. We are sooo looking forward to seeing you for your babtism. We miss and love you sooooooooooooo much. I don't know what I would do if your mom didn't update us on your progress. Love always and ever. Nana and Pappy

I have had your Dad's "perfect" martinis and they are great. Maybe he will make one for me in a couple of weeks. :)

Can't wait to see you all,

Aunt Cookie
